HCC HISTORY PROF TO DISCUSS CT CIVIL WAR NEWSPAPERS

BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College Professor David Koch will discuss Connecticut’s Civil War newspapers Wednesday, March 7, at the college.
The talk will center on the media coverage of the war, the partisan nature of newspaper coverage at that time, and the sometimes hostile clashes between newspapers and, at times, citizens, of the state.
The event, which will begin at 2 p.m. in the Beacon Hall Events Center, is open to the public at no charge.
