myCommNet is a source of information for students of the Connecticut Community Colleges, and provides access to a broad array of personal, academic, and work-related services.
You only need to remember one user ID (your NetID) and one password to reach Blackboard Vista, Student Online Services (S.O.S), library online databases and much more.

Your initial password is made up of the following personal information:
- 1st three (3) characters of your birth month (first letter capitalized)
- the "&" symbol
- Last four (4) digits of your Social Security Number
Example:
A user whose birthday is in October and whose social security number ends in 6789, the initial password would be: Oct&6789
You will then prompted to change your password, and establish a security question that only you can answer. Please read the directions carefully.
Your myCommNet home page is the source for announcements and other information you need as a student. Each page is customizable; many of the "channels," or boxes of information, found on the myCommNet pages can be moved, deleted or resized to meet your own needs. To navigate use the 'tabs" in the top.

From the "Student" tab , you can access your courses through Blackboard Vista, check on your account through Student Self-Service (S.O.S). Remember, always to logout when your complete your sessions.

During the transition between WebCT to Blackboard Vista, you will see a window (see below), click on the link of your session. You will re-directed to the Blackboad Vista page, click on the link of your course.

From the " Library" tab, you can conduct a quick search of your college's library catalog, tap into the online research materials and other resources that your college library has available.
